Job Description: The Engineering School of Sustainable Infrastructure and Environment (ESSIE in the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering (HWCOE)) at the University of Florida is soliciting applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Transportation Engineering and to serve as the Director of the I-STREET (Implementing Solutions from Transportation Research and Evaluation of Emerging Technologies) Lab. We welcome applicants with research expertise in emerging transportation technologies (e.g., connected / autonomous vehicles, smart infrastructure, AI, digital twins). I-STREET is a “living lab” on the University of Florida’s (UF) campus, surrounding roadway networks, and across the state of Florida. It is a collaboration between the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), the City of Gainesville (CoG), and the University of Florida’s Transportation Institute (UFTI).
