Description St. John Paul II Catholic High School is seeking a Head Cheer Coach for the 2026-2027 school year (starting Spring 2026 with tryouts). This is a stipend only and/or a full time teaching/coaching position (depending on teaching credentials and open teaching positions) Job Summary: The Coach fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by developing, initiating, and administering the women's cheerleading team. The Coach is recommended to the principal by the athletic director, hired by the principal, and evaluated in consultation with the athletic director. The head coach provides instruction and coaching to students to safely develop skills and the ability to excel in cheer. Requirements: Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Program Advancement - Create a cohesive cheer program, to involve middle school feeder schools in the area. - Build relationships with student-athletes to ensure adequate participation. - Execute cheerleader evaluations and team placement at the beginning of each season. - Facilitate off-season and summer cheer development and research best practices for program development.
