Position Status: Full time Shift: First Shift (Days - Less than 12 hours per shift) (United States of America) Hours per week: 40 Job Information Exemption Status: Non-Exempt A Brief Overview: The Oncology medical assistant is knowledgeable in several areas including specimen collection, can provide simple patient teaching in several areas including procedures, laboratory tests, and medication. Rooms patients, obtains vital signs and communicates pertinent information to the team. The medical assistant is responsible for maintaining the clinic rooms, ensuring cleanliness and safety. Education Qualifications: Successfully completed first semester in an accredited nursing program. Required or Successfully completed a medical assistant or patient care technician program. Required or A Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician may be substituted for the educational requirement.
