Job description

Role Purpose The Manager, Rail & Gate is responsible for the management of operational labour and equipment resources in collaboration with other area managers. The focus of this position is the yard and gate strategy development and optimization. The Manager, Rail & Gate works with the internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective fluidity across quay, intermodal and gate operations. Key Responsibilities: Manage day to day affairs of terminal operations to ensure the efficient utilization of labour and equipment to achieve optimum productivity and reliability of service to customers and terminal users. Meet customer requirements to achieve the optimum service level conducive with maintaining ship schedules, To ensure final stages of the expansion project with terminal operational fluidity, new infrastructure & processes and control room are complete. Contribute to the continuous business improvement process, aligned with business objectives, by maximizing efficiency and effectiveness while considering commercial, operational and safety factors.
