Job description
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will fit and assemble mechanical components and systems to build equipment that is dedicated to the rugged and challenging terrain of the forestry industry. To excel in this role, a combination of technical skills is required, including the ability to read and follow engineering blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to attach and install parts and sub-assemblies. Location: 141 Consolidated Drive, Paris, ON Dedicated Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday – Friday Job Duties: - Read and thoroughly understand detailed assembly instructions, engineering diagrams, schematics, and parts lists to ensure meticulous assembly through fit and alignment. - Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly. - Connect hoses, tubes, clamps, and wires. - Fasten parts and sub-assemblies together using hand, power, and pneumatic tools. - Operate lifting devices such as cranes (overhead and/or jib) to complete large assembly installations. - Verify that the assembled equipment functions correctly and adheres to quality standards to prevent faulty products from reaching customers.
