Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job description

The Shipping & Receiving Specialist ensures the accurate, safe, and timely movement of goods in and out of the facility. This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting inbound materials; preparing and shipping outbound orders, including making arrangements with carriers and handling customs documentation for international shipments; maintaining inventory accuracy; and upholding safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment with physical tasks and frequent system updates. Key Responsibilities: Receiving (Inbound) - Unload deliveries safely using manual material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies. - Verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and ASN (advanced shipping notices); reconcile any discrepancies. - Inspect materials for damage, quantity, and quality; escalate non-conformances and initiate RMA processes as required.
