United Wambo Joint Venture (UWJV) is an open-cut coal mine located 16 kilometres west of Singleton in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales. UWJV is a 50:50 joint venture between United Collieries (Glencore and MEU) and Wambo Coal (Peabody). The Opportunity: United Wambo Joint Venture (UWJV) commenced operation in 2020 and we are forecast to produce up to 10 million tonnes per annum of saleable thermal and semi-soft metallurgical coal until 2042. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Environment & Community Coordinator to support our United Wambo Operation. What are we looking for?: Reporting to the Environment & Community Manager, this role is integral to maintaining regulatory compliance across environmental approvals, legislative obligations, and site-specific requirements, while driving the implementation of sustainable environmental and social management practices. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the coordination and execution of environmental monitoring programs, management of community engagement, and provision of expert guidance on regulatory and operational matters.
