ROLE DESCRIPTION Instructional Faculty - 9 th Grade Seminar (Male Course) This position offices in-person, on campus ROLE SUMMARY A 9th Grade Seminar (Male Course) Faculty member at Valor Christian High School supports and mentors students through every aspect of their transition to Valor, playing a vital role in their academic and spiritual development while equipping them with the skills needed to thrive in high school. This role includes actively guiding students in managing their academic responsibilities by developing skills in organization, time management, goal setting, and self-advocacy. The teacher serves as a central support for each student, intentionally equipping and coaching them to self-advocate with key stakeholders, including classroom teachers, academic and college counselors, deans, coaches, and parents, so that students take ownership of their growth while ensuring they are holistically supported. In addition, the Freshman Seminar teacher intentionally facilitates opportunities for students to explore their identity in Christ and understand how God has uniquely designed them with specific gifts, strengths, and purposes.
