Driver Safety Specialist

Job description

Job Summary The Driver Safety Specialist administers OSCO’s driver safety program across a regional, multi-site fleet. This role works to improve driver behavior, reduce preventable incidents, and mitigate organizational risk through proactive monitoring, coaching and data‑driven interventions. It combines hands‑on driver engagement, structured incident review and advanced use of telematics and in‑cab camera data to strengthen the safety culture while balancing operational needs. Responsibilities: - Act as the subject‑matter expert for driver telematics and in‑cab camera systems (LYTX, OnStar, GeoTab) - Create driver scorecards to identify trends, risks, and coaching opportunities - Drive consistent, effective use of telematics for proactive intervention, post‑incident review and continuous improvement - Closely partner with Operations teams to optimize configurations, reporting and governance of overall Driver Safety Program - Conduct structured reviews with drivers regarding safety events, performance trends and program expectations - Coach drivers, assign corrective training and document outcomes per policy - Recommend retraining, increased monitoring, suspension, or termination...
