POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager will be responsible for supporting the members of the Development team in their efforts to identify and pursue new business opportunities for all of Marriott’s brands across the EMEA region and contribute to various strategic initiatives. Success in the position demands a driving focus on creation of shareholder value through the pursuit of new projects, a proactive disposition, a willingness to champion new business opportunities, an ability to juggle many projects simultaneously, an enthusiasm for working on a small, focused team and a passion for the work we do. The position designation (Manager) will be commensurate with the application’s experience. Scope/Business Context: The addition of new hotels is one of the principal drivers of Marriott International’s earnings growth and an important element in progressing the product quality, operating excellence, distribution power and brand equity of Marriott’s lodging system. The company’s unit growth strategy focuses primarily on acquisition of management contracts and licensing of our hotel brands to third party owner-operators under franchise agreements.
