Description Solterra Academy provides comprehensive special education for students aged 5 to 22 requiring intensive intervention due to severe emotional, behavioral, cognitive, developmental, and/or learning challenges. We believe in fostering an environment that is supportive, developmentally appropriate, and tailored to specific individual needs. Our dedication lies in the cooperative, self-motivated, adjusted, and academically accomplished development of each child. Crisis Responders support students in emotional and behavioral crises using Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) skills to de-escalate situations in a developmentally appropriate manner. They provide individualized attention, support, and monitoring, collaborating with each student’s primary team to implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) aimed at helping students develop social problem-solving, stress management, and anger control skills. Crisis Responders play a vital role in maintaining a safe and structured school environment by utilizing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and TCI strategies.
