MRI Technologist (Part time Saturday and Sunday 7a-730p)

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision of the MRI/CT Supervisor, and following established policies and procedures, operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images for use by physicians in diagnoses and treatment of pathologies. The technologist provides technical and ancillary support to the department mission through demonstrated clinical and academic competency in MRI. Clinical and academic competency is defined as completing training and meeting all clinical responsibilities to all areas assigned, ability to work unsupervised in the clinical setting, willingness to rotate to all areas as the need arises, and holding appropriate registration and advanced certification, as required by the ARRT, and the ACR. Primary duties are to work as a technologist on the Newton Pavilion, Menino Pavilion, or Yawkey ACC, or any future Boston Medical Center MRI locations, while also implementing policy and procedures as determined necessary.
