About the KIPP Colorado Permanent Substitute Role: The Permanent Substitute is a role that will substitute for our KIPP Colorado teachers in their region in the case of teacher absences. When not subbing in a classroom, the Permanent Substitute may be supporting the school with providing coverage at lunch duty, hall duty, or arrival and dismissal. A Permanent Substitute, unlike a Lead Teacher, will only have the direct responsibility of managing the learning and culture of the classroom. The permanent substitute may be assigned to cover any classroom in their region and it is likely that teaching assignments will change daily.
