Responsibilities: MV Transportation is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant, who will be responsible for preparing various tax returns; reconciling tax general ledger accounts; researching and correctly applying state and local laws related to sales/use tax, real and personal property tax, business licenses; and working with auditors. Job Responsibilities: - Analyze general ledger accounts charitable contributions, political contributions, dues/subscriptions, penalties, lobbyist expense accounts to ensure activity recorded in those accounts is correct. - Analyze intercompany payable and receivable accounts for foreign subsidiaries to be included in foreign sub tax returns. - Calculate and record interco interest inc/exp related to foreign and domestic subs. - Internal liaison with field and ADP for managing the Work Opportunity Tax Credit Program - Reconcile business license and other tax account sub-ledgers to the general ledger system. - Sort and distribute mail for tax department. - Prepare Gross Receipt Tax Return...
