Job description

SMX is seeking a Cloud Engineer/Administrator to support our customer onsite at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in southern Maryland. The Cloud Engineer/Administrator will be responsible for daily operations including the following: - On-Premise Cloud Management: Design, deploy, and maintain our on-premise cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and reliability. - Hybrid Cloud Integration: Integrate on-premise systems with public cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Performance and Security: Monitor and optimize the performance, security, and cost of the on-premise cloud environment. This includes managing access controls and protecting data against threats. - Automation: Automate cloud operations, including provisioning, configuration, and deployment of resources. - Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to support application deployment and ensure smooth and reliable cloud solutions that align with business needs. - Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex issues within the on-premise and hybrid cloud environments to minimize downtime.
