Job description

The Certified Nurse Anesthetist prepares prescribed solutions and administers anesthetic following specified methods and procedures. Informs physician of patient's condition during anesthesia. Performs pre- and post-anesthesia patient visits and documents anesthesia notes on patient records. Relies on education, experience, professional training and judgment to accomplish responsibilities. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Works under minimal supervision. May lead and direct the work of others. 1. TECHNICAL TASKS: a. Uses appropriate internal and external resources to resolve, meet or exceed patient and family health care needs b. Demonstrates competence and accuracy in all work tasks, including those directly and indirectly related to patient care, consistently providing nursing care according to physicians orders and in conformance to established standards of care and administrative policies and procedures; c.
