Full Time: Days: Monday-Friday 6:45am-3:15pm: #ALDIND Job Summary: Under direct supervision of a registered nurse, performs the duties of a primary or secondary surgical technologist in surgical procedures. Minimum Education: Graduate of CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technology Program. Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: CPR certification. Work Experience: 0 - 6 months related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic knowledge of aseptic technique. Ability to prepare and maintain a sterile field. Basic knowledge of surgical instrumentation. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Creates and maintains sterile field, anticipates and provides instrumentation and supplies necessary to perform surgery. Facilitates patient flow through case turnover. Performs environmental activities to maintain asepsis of operating room. Anticipates needs in instruments, sutures, sponges, and supplies according to technique procedure, and special requirements.
