Position Overview We are currently looking to fill a temporary part-time position for a Licensed Practical Nurse at The New Vista Society located in Burnaby, BC. Detailed Overview: Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the LPN assess, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care for their work assignment in accordance with competency guidelines within the standards of practice as outlined by the College of LPNs of BC and current legislative scope of practice. Responsibilities: - Work in collaboration with the Care Team to assess, plan, implement and monitor resident safety including physiological, psychological, socio-cultural and spiritual needs on an on-going basis - Perform nursing procedures such as applying and changing sterile and/non-sterile dressings, colostomy care and irrigation, taking/recording blood pressures and temperature. - Evaluate resident outcomes; record observation and report problem and or changes to designate - Provide personal care and assistance to residents - Provide a supportive environment for the resident; contributing to the development and modification of resident care plans; attend and provide input into interdisciplinary care meetings. - Doc...
