The Nerve Conduction Study (NCS) Technologist explains and performs Nerve Conduction Study (NCS) testing under the supervision of an electromyographer. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Explains and performs Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) testing Ensures that laboratory and testing site adheres to OSHA standards Obtains patient history, demographics, reason for request and enters into study Identifies and eliminates or reduces artifact Evaluates diagnostic data recorded or displayed and reports suspected abnormal findings to physician as appropriate Maintains equipment and supplies associated with diagnostic testing Maintains an accurate archive and retrieval system for original EMG tracings PHYS...
