Fabrication Engineer

Job description

Description Researches, collects, and reports information on the ability and capacity of company products and competing equipment. Aids in the design and development of equipment and systems, and redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of customers. Responsibilities also include providing equipment functionality and capability reports to the sales force and acting as technical liaison to the sales team. Duties/Responsibilities: - None. - Cross-reference competitive products to those of represented manufacturers. - Answer general technical support calls from customers and inside/outside sales teams. - Create Bill of Materials for projects in Excel and price jobs for customer quotations through P21. - Enter quotes, orders, and production orders into P21 to process through the shop. - Source, price, and purchase product for projects while working with new and existing vendors. - Work with shop foreman and assemblers as needed to complete projects to customer's specifications. - Log and maintain files and data on projects and catalog library in engineering and AHP server. - Design 80/20 assemblies using AutoQuoterX (AutoCAD). - Draw 2-D schematics for Fluid Power & Electrical...
