Position Summary: The Income Tax Manager manages the tax planning and compliance activities of Gordon Food Service (GFS) and its related entities. Implements various tax and accounting strategies. What you will do: Directs all tax-related projects and compliance reporting, including the preparation of local, state, and federal filings. Oversight for all local, state, and federal audits. Assists in due diligence activities for the acquisition of new business entities. Assists with development of corporate restructuring plans. Provides tax-related guidance for GFS US and Canadian related companies. Develops capital and operational budget for the department. Routinely monitors, manages and controls budget, analyzes variances and takes appropriate action and develops plans for productivity improvements. Interviews, hires, train, and retain staff.
