Maintenance Supervisor (Non-Profit Commercial Building)

Job description

We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to support the operations of a non-profit commercial building. This role performs maintenance duties and oversees housekeeping functions to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment that supports the organization’s mission and daily activities. Qualifications: - Supervise, train, and schedule, housekeeping staff - Perform and coordinate maintenance tasks--including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and flooring - Oversee use and care of cleaning and maintenance equipment - Ensure proper operation of building mechanical systems: generators, fire alarm and sprinkler systems, HVAC, and elevators - Step in to perform duties when staff are absent or operational needs require - Conduct routine inspections and address maintenance issues promptly - Ensure compliance with safety standards and applicable regulations, including FDNY and DOB requirements - Assist in Fire and Emergency Drills - Maintain records and reports using Microsoft Office and other software employed by the organization - Basic knowledge of building systems: generators, fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, HVAC, electrical,...
