ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: - Operate within approved protocols for health management of acute and chronically ill patients. - Meet with patients in a clinic setting. - Identify health status by taking medical histories, performing examinations, and evaluating test results. - Initiate and evaluate screening and diagnostic procedures. - Assess the health status of each patient and initiate appropriate therapeutic intervention. - Provide patients with comprehensive information to allow for informed decision-making. - Determine which cases to refer to a physician for further diagnosis and treatment. - Serve as a clinical consultant to nursing and paramedic personnel. - Coordinate with the patient care team to develop treatment plans. - Assess and report on patient progress. - Keep current and accurate records. - Interact professionally with the patient and the patient’s family or representatives. - Consider patient cul...
