Perform special duties as assigned. Provide coordination and technical expertise in managing, planning, organizing, and implementing the drainage and storm water, vegetation management programs. Implement policies and procedures consistent with critical VDOT business needs to ensure the success of roadside programs and related infrastructure. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing Roadside Asset Management. How you will contribute: - Contract and Maintenance Budget : Develop annual operating plan and budget. Work with fiscal and maintenance staff to develop annual administrative and maintenance budget allocation. Ensure expenditures remain within budget allocation as issued. Document and track costs of services and recommend prioritization of resources based on safety of the traveling public and preservation of roadside infrastructure. Understand and use forecasting techniques to monitor budgets and take appropriate corrective action when necessary. Ensure consistency through the validation and coding of all expenditure transactions.
