Job description

As a Slitter Operator, your main responsibility is to safely inspect material for defects, operate equipment including banding equipment to assist in packaging materials and prepare for shipment to our customers. In this role, you will have exposure to our finished goods and learn more about our customers and end product. How you’ll contribute to our company: - Make and inspect arbor and overarm set-ups to ensure compliance with production instructions - Reconcile coil identity to production and load coil - Thread coil through slitter head, cropping non-complying material - Thread mults into recoiler - Maintain production and quality standards by measuring and verifying before during and after processing - Check and record gauge width, hardness, camber, burr and surface condition - Set gauge monitoring system (if applicable) and ensure gauge calibration - Adjust machine setup to correct defects as needed throughout slitting (if applicable) - Communicate non-compliance production to supervisor and/or shift lead - Band/secure and identify slit mults - Complete production documentation - Assist maintenance to troubleshoot malfunctions or complete preventative maintenance as necessary...
