Trainee Broker (Crude market)

Job description

The role of the Trainee Broker encompasses support for the broker desk during the daily trading cycle, back-up for broker confirmations, and assisting the office manager as needed in daily tasks. Training will be provided. LINK CRUDE/LINK FUTURES: o Domestic Canadian and Rockies internal market recaps o Marketview, Posting Plus o Link Daily Report- enter trades and generate report o Forward Curve-enter values and generate each report daily o Canadian Report- enter values and generate report o Pointer ▪ Drafting deal sheet ▪ Distribute completed deals sheets to brokers. ▪ Distribute broker approved deal sheets to Access Confirmer ▪ Deal Sheet Revisions ▪ Redistribution of recaps between brokers o Inputting deals in E-Confirm Compare entries with Access, recaps and deal sheets ▪ Respond to client inquires ▪ Investigate and correct unmatched trades ▪ Create E-Confirm Transaction approval report. o Recorder ▪ Log all deals in deal book. ▪ Deal book revisions. ▪ Send reportable trades to teams for broker approval ▪ Report trades to Argus o Highlight anomalies and bring to broker desk attention o Develop monthly and annual comparison tables for reference o Develop relevant market analyse...
