Job DetailsJob Location: Ida Emmerson Hospice House - Eureka, CA 95503Position Type: Full Time or Part-Time optionSalary Range: $23.51 - $28.75 HourlyJob Shift: 12-hour Day ShiftPosition Overview The Hospice House Aide provides compassionate care and support to patients and families in a home-like inpatient setting. This role combines personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, and general assistance to ensure comfort, safety, and dignity for those we serve. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist patients with personal care as directed by nursing staff. Document care and observations accurately in the electronic medical record. Prepare and serve meals following food safety standards (ServSafe certification required). Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms, common areas, and kitchen; perform laundry and housekeeping tasks. Run errands, manage petty cash, and provide general support such as answering phones and greeting visitors. Participate in team meetings and ongoing training. Schedule Requirements: Must sign-up for a minimum one (1) 12-hour On-Call NIGHT shift per month/schedule period. On-Call NIGHT shifts are from 1900-0700.
