Fuel System Engineer – Storage (Expert), McLean JOB DESCRIPTION: Fuel is looking for a Storage Systems Engineer. The Storage Engineer will apply expertise to the full life cycle of storage area network (SAN) administration, architecture, and support. The engineer will be responsible for defining requirements, creating design documentation, creating installation instructions and deployment plans, and providing O&M support. Project assignments may include engineering geographically dispersed services, private and hybrid cloud environments, and hardening the solutions to address security and SCAP compliance. Additional responsibilities include responding to alerts and customer-reported issues, escalating problems as required, and resolving problems while exercising independent judgment within established support practices to maintain the integrity and security of storage systems. The engineer will also participate in root cause analysis for significant problems and suggest clear recommendations for improvements.
