Job description

Schedule: Full Time Night Shift (6pm - 6 am) (rotating hours) Department Supported: Public Safety: Requirements: Conducts rounding and foot and vehicle patrols in and around properties that are owned, leased, or occupied by IU Health. Responds to calls for service. Enforces and assists in the enforcement of IU Health rules, regulations, policies, and state statutes. Provides direction and guidance to team members, guests, and patients. Assists teams with de-escalating tense, uncertain and emotional situations. Proactively works to prevent crime and safety incidents. Responds to and investigates criminal activity and vehicle crashes as needed. Maintains records and logs and completes written reports as required. Performs physical security screening as required. Creates a safe healthcare environment for team members, patients, and guests. Oversees shift operations and supervises police officers and Public Safety Officers. Issues work assignments and supervises work activities of all assigned personnel.
