Job description

Reporting to the Dietary Manager, the Dietary Aide plays an important role in ensuring patient and family dietary needs are met, maintaining clean and sanitary food areas, and providing excellent customer service. **This position will cover evenings and weekends 2pm - 6pm** EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma/GED required. - Previous institutional dietary service experience preferred. - Ability to read, write and understand directions in the English language - Food Safety Certification highly desirable - Excellent basic math skills required for proper meal preparation and for measuring the appropriate amount of cleaning agents and chemicals. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Perform defined work routines, using various dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by the Dietary Manager. - Provide assistance with meal preparation and service of meals. - Meet scheduled meal and snack times. - Follow Federal and State long term care regulations and Dietary Department policies and procedures. - Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled. - Assist in arranging tray cards, loading food carts, and serving meals. - Wash and store dishes. - Fo...
