Pleasant, WI, United States: Where You Will Work: Med/Surge Garden is a 24-bed medical/surgical unit with mixed acuity, specializing in the care of stroke and oncology patients. The unit maintains an average daily census of 24 patients, with an average length of stay of 3–4 days. Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 5:1, and nursing assistant ratios are 7:1. Some patients may require chemotherapy, so familiarity with oncology care is beneficial, though not required. The unit thrives on teamwork, accountability, and a drive for continuous improvement.
