Position Summary: Responsible for all legal representation of Xcel Energy in front of the Public Utilities Commission of Texas and New Mexico Public Regulation Commission. Lead a growing team of attorneys and manage outside counsel in developing and prosecuting key regulatory proceedings. Regularly interface with executives and other leaders in the company regarding regulatory strategy designed to ensure Xcel Energy is able to continue providing reliable, affordable and sustainable power to its customers Essential Responsibilities: Provides leadership and counsel to Xcel Energy management on legal, business, legislation, regulation and strategic matters. Prepares contracts, agreements and other documents for business transactions. Represents Xcel Energy in courts, regulatory agencies and other adjudicatory or adversarial proceedings.
