This position has the responsibility to facilitate the operationalization of the Commonwealth of Virginia Emergency Operations Plan (COVEOP) and its associated annexes; development, revision, and maintenance of the Virginia Emergency Support Team (VEST) Standard Operating Guidelines and position-specific support tools; revision and maintenance of the VDEM Continuity of Operations Plan; and oversight and implementation of the VEST continuous improvement strategy. The Emergency Operations Support Planning Coordinator also provides specialized operational planning guidance to VDEM, other state agencies, and local and regional partners.
