Survey and Geomatics Specialist

Job description

Audubon is currently seeking a Industrial Surveying & Geomatics Specialist to join our team. This role combines technical leadership in 3D laser scanning, drone operations, and geomatics surveying for industrial and construction projects. The ideal candidate will be skilled in fieldwork, data processing, CAD modeling, and team training, while maintaining strong compliance with safety and regulatory standards. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead and perform land, topographic, boundary, and construction surveys using GNSS, total stations, and conventional methods. - Operate and manage UAVs (drones) for aerial surveys, inspections, and mapping, ensuring FAA compliance. - Conduct 3D laser scanning (terrestrial and mobile) including equipment setup, data acquisition, and QA. - Process drone and laser scan data using Pix4D, DJI Terra, Leica Cyclone, Trimble RealWorks, etc. - Create 3D models, surfaces, and contours using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, or similar CAD tools. - Develop and deliver training programs for field teams, designers, and engineers on surveying technologies and workflows. - Collaborate with engineers, project managers, CAD technicians, and stakeholders to ensure data accurac...
