This a Full Time day shift Oncology Nurse Navigator position for Medical Oncology at Lourdes Hospital. Position Summary: The Oncology Nurse Navigator is a patient educator and advocate, and care coordinator that helps patients diagnosed with cancer navigate through the Guthrie health system to improve patient experience and quality of care. The Oncology Nurse Navigator acts as a resource for the patient and family through diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Education, License & Cert: Education: Graduate of an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited nursing program. Licenses: 1. Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of position. 2. Specialty certification is recommended as soon as the RN is eligible. Experience: A minimum of 4 years’ experience in nursing, possess a functional knowledge of cancer diagnosis and treatment, and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to educate and coordinate care for patients.
