Description Giffels Webster has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Oakland County office located in Birmingham, Michigan. As a Senior Engineer you will work on high-profile land development projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life in southeast Michigan. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently on various engineering projects and assist a wide variety of client types from architects, developers, property owners and real estate professionals. You will work in a team environment led by a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager on a variety of tasks. Typical responsibilities include: - Site plan layout - Geometrics - Grading - Pavement design - Soil erosion and sediment control - Utility (storm sanitary and water) design - Stormwater management and green infrastructure design - Traffic plans - Details - Record drawings and specifications - Prepare permit applications and cost estimates - Attend meetings - Conduct field visits - Perform construction administration tasks What we offer: In-person collaboration and mentoring are paramount to the success of this position.
