Subsidiary Steel Dynamics Overview: The Occupational Health Nurse reports directly to the General Managers at the respective location and indirectly to the Occupational Health Coordinator. The successful candidate holds a valid nursing license in the state of Indiana and current certification in CPR/AED from American Red Cross or AHA. The position is full time Monday – Friday with on-call required after hours for injury management. Responsibilities: - Treatment of on-site injuries and referral to outside medical care as needed - Case management for injured workers and facilitate return to work - Provide medical surveillance for all employees including but not limited to annual audiograms, spirometry, vision screening and lead testing - Provide medical surveillance and case management at the Pittsboro, Indiana, plant - Conduct new hire pre-employment drug and alcohol screening & coordinate medical examinations - Participate in ergonomics assessments and job hazard analyses - Administration of the Drug and Alcohol program according to company policy - Responsible for training employees in First Aid and CPR/AED as medical responders to aid in the care of injured workers - Responsible...
