Engineer II Process

Job description

Zachry Group is seeking Process Engineer II candidates for our Downers Grove Engineering Design Center. The Process Engineer II will be responsible for routine process engineering and design tasks for assigned projects based on specific and detailed instructions received from the assigned supervisor. - Develops Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), and Heat and Mass Balances (HMB) - Develops Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), and Process / Mechanical Equipment Datasheets - Performs hydraulic analysis and calculations for piping systems. - Develops process simulations. - Performs calculations for sizing and rating various equipment like pumps, horizontal and vertical vessels, heat exchangers, and air coolers. - Develops line lists, specialty items and piping tie-in lists. - Prepares instrument process datasheets and supports development of control narrative. - Writes Process Description and Process Design Basis - Devises new approaches to problems encountered, receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects. - Works as a fully competent engineer in all conventional aspects of the subject matter or the functional area...
