Environmental Lab Technician

Job description

GFL Environmental is looking for a Laboratory Technician to support our Commercial lines of business out of our Bowmanville site. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical assistance to Customers via site visits, sampling and assisting with the classification of waste materials Perform general laboratory and housekeeping duties including report analysis results and coordination with production personnel Assist with discrepancies of incoming and outgoing materials Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe and proper manner in accordance to GFL Environmental Inc. transportation standard operating procedures, and government regulations Perform lab packing and de-packing duties Complete all necessary paperwork to complete job including acquiring signatures as required Manage and maintain various data management systems Prepare and clean glassware required for sample analysis Perform routine sample preparation and analyses employing ICP, GC, Oxygen Bomb Calorimiter and other instrumentation Report analysis results and coordinate with production personnel Maintain accurate analysis, maintenance, and production records Assist other facility operators as needed, provide technical assistance t...
