Job Title: Registered Nurse I Department: Medical Step Down Unit (MSDU) Location: Rochester General Hospital: Hours Per Week: 24 Hours: Schedule: Day: Sign-On Bonus: Up to $7,500 (if applicable) SUMMARY: As a Registered Nurse (RN), you’re the engine and the heart of patient care at Rochester Regional Health. The Medical Step Down Unit (MSDU) cares for patients who are too ill for a general medical/surgical floor but don’t require ICU-level care. The team works closely with providers, respiratory therapists, social workers, and pharmacists. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient, utilizing appropriate data (i.e. physical, psychological, educational and risk-screen data appropriate for the chronological / developmental age of the patient).
