Safety Manager

Job description

DESCRIPTION: The Safety Manager provides guidance and direction for the planning, implementation and on-going evaluation of safety policies and procedures to provide a safe working environment for employees. Serves as a local safety advocate engaging local employees in the Safety Program to work towards achieving continuous improvement and expense reduction. The qualified candidate MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Must be 18 years or older - Bachelor's Degree is required or equivalent job experience; occupational safety/industrial, health education or degree in a related field is strongly preferred. - CSP or CHST Certification strongly preferred - Five (5) years of work experience in a safety leadership role, including several years of work in an aviation or airport environment preferred - Proven record of continuous improvement with accomplishments to support success - Thorough understanding of and ability to enforce federal, state, local and company regulations - Expert knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISAGO, SMS and DOT standards - Strong leadership and proactive problem solving skills - Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills - Demonstrated organizational and prioritization abilities...
