Electric Serviceman Job Summary: This position is responsible for supporting all activities in a division office with primary emphasis on customer service and electric operations. This position will be required to perform most tasks related to these activities as well as support other functional areas such as Engineering, Marketing, Vegetation Management, Stores, and Transmission. This position will be covered by the Memorandum of Agreement between Mississippi Power and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Job Responsibilities: Responsible for supporting all functional areas in the division operations which includes: setting and removing meters, supporting field collection activities, installation of new services as well as maintaining the distribution system, performing distribution and transmission switching, restoration of service, adhering to all compliance requirements, and supporting marketing efforts. Job Requirements: - Candidates must have experience in providing electric service to new and existing customers. - Knowledge of distribution construction, operation, and maintenance is required.
