About Us: VOALA Helping Our Most Vulnerable Change Their Life Stories Volunteers of America is a non-profit human services organization committed to serving people in need, strengthening families, and building communities. VOALA provides a variety of social services to Los Angeles area communities such as Head Start programs, Upward Bound college prep programs, veterans’ services, homeless shelters, low-income housing program as well as drug and alcohol rehabilitation. JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE: The Mover Driver is responsible for assisting with the relocation of program and corporate materials and furniture as programs open and close or as office spaces change. They would also be responsible for performing scheduled pick-ups and deliveries between sites for items such as boxes, donations, and other business-related items. They may transport program participants and staff as required, and deliver meals to outlying programs as needed.
