Breast Imaging Coordinator

Job description

The Breast Imaging Coordinator provides administrative and clinical coordination support within an outpatient breast imaging center. Ensures accurate scheduling, documentation, and tracking of patient imaging, biopsy, pathology, and follow-up care in accordance with MQSA and FDA guidelines. The Coordinator reviews orders, retrieves external imaging, monitors BI-RADS follow-up requirements, and facilitates timely communication between patients, radiologists, and referring providers. Promotes efficient workflows, regulatory compliance, and seamless care coordination while supporting a high-quality patient experience aligned with institutional standards. - Review, organize, and validate completeness of imaging orders, patient histories, and supporting documentation prior to appointments. - Schedule and coordinate breast imaging, breast interventional, and breast MRI appointments using the EMR. - Track patient follow-up care in accordance with MQSA/FDA guidelines and internal breast center protocols. - Generate and distribute required patient and physician notification letters per regulatory requirements. - Communicate results and follow-up instructions to patients and referring provid...
