The position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek. Job Type: Unclassified Department: Facilities Management About the Position: Operations and Maintenance is a customer-driven support division that provides day-to-day maintenance and ensures the successful operation of all County Facilities. The Duty Plant Operator operates and monitors the 24-hour Facilities Operation Center. This position initiates corrective action in trouble or emergency situations by dispatching appropriate staff for various HVAC equipment, mechanical equipment, boilers, fire and elevator alarms, and other services. This is a 24/7 operations support position that will include overnight or weekend hours and is subject to shift differential pay.
