Job Summary: The Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) performs the acute hemodialysis treatment procedure by delivering safe, efficient care of the highest quality under the supervision of an Acute Hemodialysis Registered Nurse. Education: - Understands basic renal function and the consequences of renal failure. - Demonstrates basic knowledge of treatment modalities available to ESRD patients. - Promotes the education of patients and their understanding of their disease and its treatment. - Understands and performs the acute hemodialysis procedure according to Good Samaritan Dialysis policies and procedures under supervision of Acute Hemodialysis Registered Nurse. - Ensures that all safety checks are completed before initiation of dialysis treatment. - Monitors and records dialysis treatment parameters such as vital signs, weight changes, etc. and communicates information to licensed personnel according to Good Samaritan Hospital Dialysis policy and procedures. - Adheres to Good Samaritan Hospital Dialysis infection control policies and procedures understanding the hazards and consequences associated with failing to follow those procedures. - Performs thorough patient...
