Job description

Overview Candidate will be responsible for engineering of material handling systems. Each system is custom designed per client based on the optimal solution. This requires a team effort of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, controls, software, and project management. The team will develop and implement a design concept that satisfies the customer’s requirement for safety, functionality, reliability, throughput, and expense. Responsibilities: - Designing/enhancing conveyor systems as well as various automated and semi-automated material handling systems; may work on phases of a larger project or an entire smaller project - Review of product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements and specifications - Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems - Prepares/Reviews approval, permit, and installation drawings using AutoCAD - Obtains material and product quotes from vendors and issues purchase orders - Helps monitor the project schedule, engineering time, and material costs - Works with other disciplines on the proje...
