Description Brown Emergency Medicine is seeking an academic attending physician with an interest in injury control research to join the Department of Emergency Medicine. The successful candidate must qualify for a full-time medical faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. In 2022, NIH/NIGMS awarded a five-year $12.1 million grant to establish the Rhode Island Hospital Center for Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) that is based in the Department of Emergency Medicine. It provides a robust infrastructure to support junior faculty research needs and support them to become independently funded researchers. The COBRE includes a Research to Practice and Policy Core and a Digital Innovation Core that are to designed to address a broad area of injury control research topics. In addition, our department has multiple faculty with NIH research funding and has successfully mentored faculty on NIH training awards and NIH Loan Repayment awards.
