Senior Landscape Technician PT (Parks)

Job description

SALARY: $17.09 - $21.36 per hour JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision operates specialized equipment for the maintenance of park sites, performs landscape management tasks and applies prescribed amounts of fertilizers and chemicals for pest control and healthy plants/turf. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Operate specialized equipment for the maintenance of park sites including but not limited to specialized mowing equipment, chemical sprayers, backhoe, front and end loader and various implements utilized in care of large turf areas as well as maintain and perform minor adjustments to the equipment. - Perform maintenance type duties to park sites including construction and repair of buildings, shelters, playgrounds, concrete/asphalt, retaining walls, landscape improvements, drainage systems, etc. - Perform landscape management tasks such as mowing and trimming of turf grass areas, installation and care of plant materials including flowers, trees and ground cover. - Apply prescribed amounts of fertilizers and chemicals for pest control and healthy plants/turf as well as maintain accurate application records.
