ICON is looking for a Manager of Mechanical Engineering to lead the mechanical engineering group in the Titan Program. As a Manager of Mechanical Engineering at ICON, you will be responsible for the quality of work and outputs by those in your mechanical engineering group. This role is based at ICON’s Austin, TX campus. RESPONSIBILITIES: Hire, manage and coach individuals within the Mechanical Engineering function.Escalate potential and actual technical issues to the PM and Management that may impact safety, Business Goals, Requirements, Schedule, Budget, or Scope. Ensure the quality of work produced is sufficient to meet Product Goals and Requirements . Consult with Subsystem owners to help prioritize complex issues. Assign individual engineers to Subsystems projects and work with sub-system owners to manage their workload. Work with the team on professional growth opportunities. Represent mechanical engineering as a Strategic Stakeholder Drive innovative design directions while balancing risks to projects.
